Fron Eglwys Fair is a 56 acre organic farm steeped in history, in rural west Carmarthenshire. Y Fron was once a grange farm for nearby Whitland Abbey, and nestles in a south facing valley with views over to the Preseli Mountains. The Farm nowadays has sheep, goats and chickens and a large organic vegetable garden, landscaped areas, ponds, woodlands and pastureland.
By arrangement guests can visit the goats at feeding time, help collect the eggs from the chickens, and are also welcome to enjoy the pasture land and woodlands, much of which has been planted up by the family-the extensive gardens are great for enjoying an evening stroll or a game of hide and seek. There is even a public footpath running through the farm which winds down to a country lane and eventually takes you to the local pub in Llanglydwen.
A 15th century medieval building- Egwlys Fair a Churig, from which the farm takes its name is situated at the end of the farm track. We are currently renovating the building with plans for weddings in the future and it can be visited and enjoyed by guests staying on the farm.
