Offering Bespoke Weddings in a Truly Unique Welsh Setting
Welsh Yurt Weddings at Fron Farm Yurt Retreat is a newly created venue in West Wales, offering a unique package for those looking for an alternative style of wedding.
Set in 60 acres of organic farmland, Fron Farm “Fron Eglwys Fair”, is nestled in a rural, wooded valley in the middle of the rolling Welsh countryside in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains.
What makes this venue unique and sets it apart from others is the farms own private medieval church “Eglwys Fair a Churig”, which will be licensed for weddings from April 2018.
After being damaged by a falling tree in the 1960s, the church has lain unused and gathering ivy until 3 years ago, when we decided it could no longer be unused. The church has lovingly been restored by local craftsmen, turning it back into a traditional rural Welsh Chapel with lime washed walls and oak beams which enhance its natural beauty. Whether you are spiritual or not, it is the perfect setting for all ceremonies and blessings.
The church seats up to 80 guests, and brides can be driven to the church in the vintage trap by our very own Massey 135 tractor and farmer Dave.
Wedding receptions are held in the large homemade 32ft wedding yurt which can seat 80 guests with the ajoining wedding roundhouse seating a further 40.
A fully licensed bar can be arranged as well as entertainment licenses dependent on need. The fire pits around the site will ensure guests are kept warm throughout the evening. The site also boasts stunning views across the pond down the wooded valley and rolling hills.
If you want to stay, accommodation for up the 14 guests is available in the onsite Glamping Yurts and Roundhouses with the option of further boutique camping and B&B by arrangement.
